About this site

Welcome to OPE daily - a blog designed to inform and entertain landscapers and consumers alike.

My name is Rick Teal. I am co-owner of Powered Agriculture LLC and sole owner of this blog. I started the company with my father after I graduated from college and have been learning ever since.

Where it began.
Powered Agriculture began in the Pacific Northwest in 2004. The company is a division of Powered Industries and handles outdoor power equipment as an authorized dealer for eXmark, Husqvarna, Red Max and BE Pressure supply as well as servicing other brands of equipment. Powered Agriculture has an amazing cast of employees that has made it what it is today in spite of what I have done to compromise growth or progress. My hat is off to these folks as they are a big part of why I am able to write this blog at all. Thank you to them.

A blog?
Let me say this, I am passionate about my job and the industry it resides in which is the overlying impetus to type this letter to you, my dear reader. I continue to learn everyday from my colleagues, my customers, and my readers. There is a lot of information and entertainment to be garnered from this industry and I enjoy sharing that with this community.

This site is dedicated to helping commercial equipment users and prosumers learn about business, share their own experiences, and promote the landscape, arboriculture, and construction industries. I am a huge fan of the entrepreneur and I wanted to keep a record of what I have been learning about being in business. This community of articles, tips, tutorials, and comments is as much a learning tool for me as it is for my customers. So, read on if you will, comment if you can, and accept my apology for not making this more, as I think it should be, fun.

P.S.
I am a father of two amazing daughters, and a husband to one amazing wife who (or is it whom?) deserve far more acknowledgement than a post script, but I am sure they will appear within these pages with greater frequency.
