Pay attention, your government is sending you customers

The increase in city and county ordinances pertaining to beautification and/or public safety means more customers for you.

Municipalities across the nation are offering up customers to land- and snow-care professionals by way of fines. According to the Southtown Star the village of Oak Lawn, IL is considering fining businesses that fail to keep their sidewalks clear of snow.  The city of Mesquite, TX has revised its ordinance to lower the acceptable height of lawns from 12″ to 8″.

Both of these regulations carry fines for violators and opportunities for service professionals to do what they do; provide a service. Check the laws in your communities and notify your clients and prospects of any changes in legislation. Be proactive about helping your customers comply with their ever-changing rules.
