OPE daily comment policies

I’m not big on censorship and comments are as important to the sharing of ideas as my own posts. However, there must be some sort of order among this chaos so here is how it stands:

1. Comments good - they add knowledge to the community. You are more than welcome to share what you have to say. Feel free to comment or ask questions.

2. Spam bad - they don’t add knowledge to the community. Any spam that gets through my filters will be deleted immediately.

3. Links ok - if they are relevant to the post and comments. (Relevant) Links in comments that point to yours or someone else’s site is encouraged as it will add to the conversation and imrpove the blog.

4. A little etiquette - goes a long way. Join the conversation and add to the knowledge base of the community. If you want to annoy me or other readers than be selfishly irrelevant. Inapropriate commenting (as determined by me) will damage your reputation faster than anything.

There is a fine line when moderating comments so make it easier on me and you, and be gracious, be relevant, and be heard. Add value to the blogs you visit and add value to your words. (That last bit there sounded a little blowhardy, didn’t it?)

Information and Links

Join the fray by commenting, tracking what others have to say, or linking to it from your blog.
