OPE daily

As I plunder through the newspapers, magazines and various reading material strewn across my office, aside from the Holiday Shopping Season ads (I love to window shop, even through catalogs), I pick up on the annual tax commentaries that will pepper the news from now until the first of the year. I hate to regurgitate what is already said, but it has only recently dawned on me to actually take note of the fact that it is my right as an American Business owner to utilize every tax credit and deduction available.

This isn’t to say that Business Owners should take their fiduciary duties lightly. Taxes are part of what pays for our infrastructure; a big part in fact. However, the burden of debt is not equally distributed, and shelters and loopholes are increasingly being tied off. So I will end my lecture with this:

It’s the government. How efficient and fiscally responsible do you believe them to be? I am confident that you can put your money into better use and directly impact your economy by retaining more of what you’ve already earned by utilizing your tax incentives.

Now I have to log in to the Sharper Image and order that Darth Maul lightsaber I have been saving up for.
