Kawasaki recalls hedgetrimmers

Kawasaki hedgetrimmer recallKawasaki Motor Corp., USA in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced the recall of two models of hedgetrimmers. About 1,500 KHT600D and KHT750D 24-inch and 30-inch double-sided hedgetrimmers are being recalled due to engine mount springs between the gear case and handle/frame possibly separating from their receptacle in the frame during heavy operation. Continued use could cause the engine and blades to swing free of the frame and hit the user, resulting in lacerations.

Consumers should stop using the units immediately and contact Kawasaki Motors toll-free at (866) 836-4463 between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. ET Monday through Friday, or visit the firm’s Web site at www.kawpowr.com.
